Terms of Service

Terms of Service (Fantasy Surfing League)

Effective date: January 5, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Fantasy Surfing League website, apps, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

“Fantasy Surfing League,” “FSL,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service.

2) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Some features (including prizes) may have additional eligibility requirements and may be void where prohibited by law.

3) Account registration and security

  • You may need an account to access features like Events/Picks, Leaderboard/Results, and prizes.
  • You agree to provide accurate information (e.g., name, email, country/language) and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activity under your account.

4) Game play, rules, events, and picks

  • The Service includes fantasy-style gameplay, including making picks, scoring, and leaderboards.
  • Specific gameplay mechanics, deadlines, scoring logic, and event availability may be described on the Rules, Events/Picks, and Leaderboard/Results pages (the “Game Rules”).
  • The Game Rules are incorporated into these Terms. If there is a conflict, the Game Rules control for gameplay matters.
  • We may correct scoring, standings, or results if we discover errors, data issues, or integrity concerns.

5) Fair play and acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate scoring, or attempt to bypass picks deadlines.
  • Use bots, scrapers, automated scripts, or abusive traffic that harms the Service.
  • Harass others, post unlawful content, or infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.

6) Prizes, sponsors, and promotions

If FSL offers prizes, giveaways, or sponsor promotions:

  • Eligibility requirements may include location, age, and compliance with local laws.
  • Winners may be required to verify eligibility and provide information needed to deliver prizes.
  • Taxes, duties, and any required reporting are the winner’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.
  • Prizes may be substituted with items of comparable value if necessary (where permitted by law).
  • Sponsors may provide prize fulfillment or promotional materials; sponsor terms may apply.

7) Donations

If the Service accepts donations:

  • Donations are voluntary and generally non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • We may use third-party payment processors; your payment details are handled under their terms and privacy practices.

8) Intellectual property

  • The Service, including design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by FSL or its licensors and protected by law.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as allowed by these Terms or with our written permission.

9) Third-party services and links

The Service may link to third-party sites (e.g., social media) or use third-party services (e.g., analytics, payment processing). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

10) Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • You violate these Terms or the Game Rules,
  • Your activity poses risk to the Service or other users,
  • Required by law or security concerns.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

11) Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or that results will always be available at any specific time.
  • Fantasy gameplay involves predictions and uncertain outcomes; scores and standings may change due to official updates, corrections, or data feeds.

12) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FSL will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

13) Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify FSL from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of rights.

14) Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy (below). By using the Service, you agree to our collection and use of information as described there.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
